The Equinix SV11 Data Center required a comprehensive fluid filtration solution to protect critical cooling infrastructure. With over 45 megawatts of IT load capacity, uninterrupted cooling is essential. Hellan Fluid Systems engineered a complete strainer package featuring our Online Cleanable Strainers that provide continuous 24/7 self-cleaning operation without system shutdown.
The installation includes 24 Model 850 Automatic Strainers strategically positioned throughout the cooling loop, protecting chillers, pumps, and heat exchangers from debris that could cause equipment failure or reduced efficiency. The self-cleaning mechanism activates automatically based on differential pressure, ensuring optimal flow rates at all times.
Additionally, custom-engineered Cooling Skids were delivered pre-assembled and tested, reducing on-site installation time by 60%. Each skid integrates strainers, pumps, valves, and instrumentation into a single plug-and-play unit, meeting the aggressive construction timeline without compromising quality.
